We are always young….
Wow … just back from YS place which we had our 10 ppl dinner + supper there. Damn full la after eating like 7 or 8 dishes which we cooked since 5 pm to 10.30pm.
Today attended the CSU session with Dr Tin Aung. This is the 1st time i had CSU under him and the 1st thing he taught was medical students always young :)Hehe like to hear that since gals always want to be young n not the other way….
When we 1st enter the medical sch, we are so young compared to the other batches. We look upon to the other seniors and wish to be like them 1 day in the future.
Time flies and now we are going into sem 3. Soon we will be orientating the new batch juniors. Thinking back the days that we were orientated and compare to now, we felt a bit mature. Then again we see the sem 5 ppl graduating from phase 1 we feel humble again..
Sooner or later we will become the sem 5 and graduate from phase 1. We might think we are so great as compare to our juniors. With the ego we go into phase 2. There we will be the youngest again among the ppl in phase 2.
Some time later we will graduate from sem 10 and become a true doctor. With the pride we will start our housemanship. Then we become vy little again in the foodchain of hospital.
Few more years later we will complete the housemanship and de residency. As compare to the new doctors and medical students we are so much higher in rank now. We feel great but hey.. we are still young among all the experienced doctors.
Finally one day we may become a specialist. Now we are so much higher in the foodchain. Even surpass the normal GP. Then just as we feel that we are at the top of the world, something will happen and we just need guidance from senior specialists…Hmm then we feel small again…
True and well said right … Like this speach from Dr Tin Aung. Medicine is a life long learning process. One can never stop learning as long as one is still in this profession.
How much we can learn in our life? We will never know. All we know is we are here to learn as much as possible in order to equip ourself to be a better, more reponsible and more cautious doctor….
